The Story

Arjun grew up in Dehradun watching ships only on television. Coming from a family with no maritime background, the biggest hurdle wasn't the exam — it was figuring out which route to take.

At 18, he had already been pitched three different "packages" by local agents. All of them promised a ship. None of them explained the difference between DNS, B.Sc. Nautical Science and a private academy.

The Journey

His first counselling call with Kaushal sir was 45 minutes. By the end of it, three realistic paths were on the table — with cost, timeline, and risk laid out for each.

He chose DNS. Over the next 10 months we structured his IMU-CET prep with weekly mock tests, handled his passport re-issue, and prepared him for the Anglo-Eastern sponsorship interview.

Placement

Sponsored by Anglo-Eastern in the December 2023 intake. Joined his first ship — a Panamax bulk carrier — in July 2024.

In Arjun's words

"They didn't sell me a course. They sold me clarity. That's the difference."
